Speaking on December 16, Trump said that Adelson, an Israeli-American billionaire, had already provided a total of $250 million in direct and indirect funding for his campaigns, describing her as his “largest donor.”
“When someone is willing to contribute $250 million, I think you should invite her up to say hello,” Trump told attendees at a Hanukkah celebration held at the White House.

Adelson, the widow of billionaire casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, joined Trump on stage. She said she had recently met with Alan Dershowitz to discuss the legal feasibility of a potential third presidential run. As she turned back to speak with Trump, members of the audience chanted, “Four more years! Four more years!”
“She said, ‘Think about it — I’ll give you another $250 million,’” Trump told the crowd. Adelson confirmed the pledge, saying, “I will donate.”
Trump went on to recall his relationship with Adelson’s late husband, one of the most influential political donors in U.S. history. He said Sheldon Adelson often called requesting brief meetings that ultimately turned into lengthy conversations.
“He did everything to fight for Israel,” Trump said.
For years, the Adelsons have advocated for Trump administrations to pursue strongly pro-Israel policies. During Trump’s first term, Sheldon Adelson pushed for the relocation of the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, while Miriam Adelson later urged Trump to support Israel’s annexation of parts of the West Bank.
Trump has repeatedly hinted at the possibility of running again in 2028, despite the U.S. Constitution limiting presidents to two terms in office. “I’m not joking. A lot of people want me to run,” Trump said in an interview in March.
