Speaking to the press on December 1, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that President Donald Trump’s recent MRI scan was “entirely normal.”
“All evaluated indicators were within stable limits, with no acute or chronic issues detected. In short, this level of detailed assessment is standard for a president of Mr. Trump’s age, and the results show he continues to maintain excellent overall health,” Leavitt said, citing the medical summary provided by the President’s physician during the White House press briefing.
President Trump, 79, underwent cardiovascular and abdominal evaluations in October 2025. He also stated that he “did very well” on a cognitive test, though he did not specify whether this test was part of the October evaluation package.
Pressure for Trump to release more medical information has increased after several Democratic figures, including Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, raised questions about his mental sharpness and physical fitness. Earlier in the summer, the President also drew attention when he appeared with a swollen ankle and bruising on the back of his right hand.

Leavitt explained that the October examinations were conducted to detect any early signs of irregularities, while also confirming his overall health status and ensuring that the President “maintains endurance and long-term functional capacity.”
According to the physician’s summary, Trump’s cardiovascular system is in “excellent condition,” with smooth arterial walls and no concerning signs.
“I believe this is an important detail in our effort toward transparency. The President made a promise to the American people last night, and today we are delivering on that commitment,” Leavitt said.
