Former U.S. President Donald Trump revealed his biggest dream to his granddaughter Kai Trump during a lighthearted golf outing, saying he hopes to become a “great president.”
The moment was captured in a video titled “1:1 with Kai Trump”, released by Kai on October 11. The clip, showing the two playing golf at the Trump National Golf Club in Washington, D.C., gained over 1.5 million views in just one day.
“Do you have any dreams you’re still chasing, or have you already achieved them all?” Kai asked her grandfather as he drove the golf cart.
“You sound like a reporter! I thought I was getting some rest and playing a round of golf with my granddaughter,” Trump joked, smiling.
“I just want to know,” Kai replied.
“You’re asking as if I’m on a TV interview,” Trump teased again, laughing.
The 47th President then grew more reflective, saying, “When someone achieves the dream of becoming president, they naturally want to become a great president. So my dream now is to be a great president.”
Kai Trump, born in 2007, is the eldest daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and the oldest of the former president’s ten grandchildren. She started playing golf at the age of two and has since become a rising social media star with millions of followers. Kai often shares family moments and golf sessions with her grandfather.
“Most people know my grandfather as a businessman or a politician,” Kai said in the video. “But to me, he’s simply my grandpa. We’ve played golf together for years. Golf is his favorite sport, and it’s how we spend time together. Over the years, I’ve learned a lot from him — not just about golf, but about life.”
